Accommodation

Comfortable accommodation plays a big part in the enjoyment of any holiday, which is why we stay in good quality hotels offering good food and service. We try and use 2 or 3 Star hotels in our valley bases whenever possible. However, this is subject to availability in the Alps during busy periods, as our flexible approach to travel and seek the best conditions means we can’t always pre book. Prices are based on twin room sharing and single room supplements apply (see website/call for details)

Fitness and Experience

To enjoy your course to the full we recommend that you train regularly beforehand so you arrive fit and healthy. You should also fulfil the experience prerequisites for our more technical programs (see website for details). Our Alpine courses are designed to allow acclimatisation throughout the week so you can meet your objectives. However, on the more advanced Alpine courses prior fitness and acclimatisation are more important, to ensure we can utilise weather windows right from the start of the week. As a guideline:
Intro Alpine Good general fitness, no prior acclimatisation required.
Intermediate Alpine Very good level of fitness, prior acclimatisation useful.
Advanced/Expert Alpine Excellent fitness, prior acclimatisation essential.

Course Start/Finish Times

All courses begin on the evening of the start date with a briefing. UK based courses end on the evening of the finish date, and Alpine courses end on the morning of the finish date. Special packages may differ so please check the website for details.

Travel during the course is included, but you must provide your own transport between your home and the course start point. Travel advice together with meeting times and locations will be provided in your course joining instructions
